Reading the proposals queue
The Proposals page is the single screen that determines how much value Outrigger delivers per week. Master it and you can run the queue in five minutes a day.
What you see
Each row in /dashboard/proposals shows:
- Client: which account this proposal belongs to.
- Tactic: the playbook entry the agent picked, such as "Claim & optimise directory listings" or "Run review velocity campaign".
- Reasoning: one or two sentences from the agent on why this beats every other option for this client right now.
- Hypothesis / expected outcome: what the work might change and how you would know it happened. Outrigger removes numeric or guaranteed lift claims; effects are unmeasured until the work is verified.
- Status:
pending(your call),approved(executing),rejected(skipped), orexecuted(done).
Open View draft or the proposal detail to see the prepared work: the exact list of subreddits, the specific directory list, the prompt set, whatever the tactic needs.
The three things to check
Don't audit every line of the payload. Look at three things:
- Is this client ready for this tactic? A brand-new client with no canonical entity isn't ready for press distribution. The agent usually gets this right, but you're the human gate.
- Does the payload look sane? If the agent picked Reddit seeding and the gap clusters are obviously the wrong topic, reject and let it try again tomorrow.
- Have we already done this recently? The agent has idempotency on
(run_id, client_id)but cross-day dedup relies on tactic outcomes. A glance at the last week's history catches anything that slipped through.
If all three look right, approve. The whole loop should take under a minute per client once you're in rhythm.
Filters that help
By status: filter to pending and you see only what needs a decision. By client: when a client has a major launch you can drill in and review their proposals more carefully without slowing down the rest of the queue.
