Multi-platform review monitoring

Reviews are scattered across a dozen platforms. Checking each one manually is tedious and slow: by the time you see a negative review on Trustpilot, it's been sitting there for two weeks. Outrigger aggregates everything into one feed so nothing slips through.

The review feed

The review feed is a unified, chronological stream of every review across all monitored platforms. Each review shows:

  • Platform: Where the review was posted (Google, G2, Trustpilot, etc.)
  • Rating: Star count (normalized to 5-star scale)
  • Sentiment: Positive, neutral, or negative (AI-analyzed from review text)
  • Date: When the review was posted
  • Text preview: First few lines of the review content
  • Response status, Whether you've responded, and if so, when

You can filter by platform, sentiment, rating, date range, or response status. The default view shows unresponded reviews first: these are your action items.

Platforms Outrigger monitors

Outrigger monitors the platforms most relevant to your industry:

Automatically detected

When you run an audit or set up a client, Outrigger searches for your brand on major review platforms and adds any discovered profiles to monitoring.

Manually added

You can add profiles for platforms Outrigger didn't auto-detect: industry-specific sites, niche directories, or international platforms.

Supported platforms

  • Google Reviews (via Google Business Profile)
  • Trustpilot
  • G2
  • Capterra
  • TrustRadius
  • Yelp
  • Facebook Reviews
  • Industry-specific platforms (added manually)

Sentiment tracking over time

Beyond individual reviews, Reviews tracks sentiment trends:

  • Monthly average rating: Is your overall rating improving or declining?
  • Sentiment distribution: What percentage of reviews are positive, neutral, negative?
  • Topic analysis: What are people praising or complaining about most?
  • Velocity chart: Are you getting more or fewer reviews per month?

These trends matter for AI visibility. A brand whose sentiment is improving over time looks better to AI models than one with a static or declining trend.

Alert setup

Configure alerts to notify you when:

  • Any negative review is posted (1-2 star): respond within 24 hours
  • Review velocity drops below your target: may need to re-activate review campaigns
  • New platform detected: your brand appears on a platform you weren't monitoring
  • Competitor milestone: a competitor passes a review count threshold

Alerts can go to email, Slack, or in-app notifications. For agencies managing multiple clients, email alerts with client name and platform are the most efficient.

Why response speed matters

Responding to reviews quickly serves two purposes:

Customer experience

A fast, professional response to a negative review can turn a detractor into a promoter. It shows you care and are actively engaged.

AI signal

AI models can see your review responses. A brand that consistently responds to reviews, especially negative ones, appears more engaged and trustworthy. Some AI models specifically factor in response rate and quality when building brand entity assessments.
